
Law abiding residents looked on in amazement as no fewer than sixty Santa Clauses chased a giant Christmas Turkey round the streets of Egremont.
Many of those taking part in the dash were families who found this a thoroughly enjoyable way to spend a December day and at the same time raise money for Hospice at Home.
Gillian Johnston is delighted to report that the event is likely to have raised at least £1500.
