The overwhelming impression we take from the Copeland Schools’ Exhibition at Lowes Court is a sense of fun. That comes across from the fantastically cheerful dragon, created by a lively group of students at Mayfield School, from brightly coloured faces splashed on the wall without inhibition, like Oil Painting by West Lakes student, Helen Stephenson, and pottery with eccentric character produced by Hannah Williams and Lucy Brock in year 8 at West Lakes.
Some delightful drawing by children from Beckermet and Thornhill Schools were also on display, including a very friendly dinosaur with spiky nails.
